2. General principles
We collect and use personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. Processing is generally based on the user's consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), the performance of a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) or our legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
3. Server log files
When you access this website, our hosting provider automatically records the following data in so-called log files:
- (Truncated) IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of access
- URL accessed and amount of data transferred
- Referrer URL
- Browser type and version, operating system
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and stable operation of the website. Log data is deleted after a maximum of 14 days, unless security incidents require longer retention.
Hosting: This website is hosted by All-Inkl GmbH / Kasserver (Germany). We have entered into a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with the provider.
4. Cookies and local storage
This website does not set any cookies and does not perform tracking of its own. If you consent to loading the Google Maps embed (see section 7), we store your consent in your browser's sessionStorage. This entry is automatically deleted when you close the browser tab.
5. Contact by email
When you contact us by email at info@aqua-scope.com or support@aqua-scope.com, the information you provide (email address, name, contents of the message) is stored to process your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. We delete requests once they are conclusively handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. under commercial or tax law).
6. LoRa-keys request form
The "Request LoRa keys" form (/en/support/lora-keys/) lets you receive the AppEUI and AppKey for your LoRaWAN device. The entered data (email and DevEUI) is sent directly from your browser to the backend fileadmin/php/lorakey.php on www.aqua-scope.com and processed there to verify the shop order and email the keys to you. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract performance or pre-contractual measures).
7. Embedded Google Maps (with consent)
On our contact page we embed a map provided by Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). The map is not loaded automatically. A connection to Google servers is established only after you actively click "Load map". The following data is transmitted in particular:
- Your IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Screen resolution and browser information
- Referrer URL of the calling page
Google may transfer data to the United States. The legal basis for this processing is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (in connection with Art. 49 (1) (a) GDPR for transfer to third countries). You can withdraw your consent at any time by closing the tab or clearing your browser session data.

Our website links to external offerings, in particular our shop shop.aqua-scope.com and our documentation doc.aqua-scope.com. When you access such content, your browser transmits the usual request information (in particular IP address and referrer) to those providers. We have no influence on their data processing; the respective providers' privacy policies apply.
